If you walk into a room and can't see someone you can relate to you feel like the Other. Young students from Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds often feel this way, especially when it comes to think about their future in higher education.#
Richard Akerele is a student of the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation's Masters in Social Innovation; and, he is the founder and CEO of East London Connect, a charity which works with young BAME students to help them achieve the goal of being accepted to and attending the U K's elite universities.
